Steam Generator Scale Inhibitor
OPTIGARD SP 10 is a highly potent liquid deposit inhibitor formulated with polymeric dispersants, specially selected phosphonates, and alkalinity-inducing hydrates, boasting very high thermal and chemical stability.
It binds and disperses hardness ions introduced by hardness leaks in steam boilers and metal oxides formed by corrosion from condensate lines, preventing their deposition on heat transfer surfaces.
The polymeric compounds in its composition inhibit the hardness typically caused by lime crystals and break down the naturally occurring lime bonds in boiler water.
It prevents the formation of water-borne deposits and deposits that may arise from corrosion.
It saves energy by keeping heat transfer areas clean.
